以下は、RubyMine が作成してくれた database.yml: に対する私の開発設定です。

アプリを実行しようとすると、以下のエラーが表示されます。どうやら「プロジェクト」ユーザーをまだ作成していないようですが、どうすればユーザーを作成し、それにpostgresのデータベースを付与できますか？ これが問題であれば、このタスクのためにUbuntuで使用する推奨ツールは何ですか？ これが問題ではない場合、アドバイスをお願いします。

解決方法は？

サーバーに postresql をインストールした場合、database.yml に host: localhost と記述してください。5. もし localhost でない場合は、アプリにデータベースの場所を教えてください。

データベースを作成し、アプリのユーザーに所有権を割り当てて接続を確立することで、ユーザーの資格情報が正しく設定されていることを確認します。postgresql 9 で新しいユーザを作成するには、以下を実行します。

sudo -u postgres psql

postgresqlのユーザーパスワードを設定していない場合は、バックスラッシュのパスワードを設定してください。

postgres=# \password

新しいユーザーとパスワード、そしてそのユーザーの新しいデータベースを作成します。

postgres=# create user "guy_on_stackoverflow" with password 'keepitonthedl';
postgres=# create database "dcaclab_development" owner "guy_on_stackoverflow"; 

データベースの作成、ユーザー、パスワード、これらの権限の設定を確認したら、database.ymlファイルを更新してください。hostはlocalhostを忘れずに。
