[解決済み] Postgresがサーバーに接続できない

質問

をした後 brew update と brew upgrade で、私のpostgresは何か問題が発生しました。一旦postgresをアンインストールして、再度インストールしてみましたが、うまくいきませんでした。

これがエラーメッセージです。(また、このエラーメッセージは私が rake db:migrate ) 

$ psql
psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
    Is the server running locally and accepting
    connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?

どうすれば解決できますか？

Macのバージョンです。マウンテンライオン

自作版: 0.9.3

Postgres バージョン: psql (PostgreSQL) 9.2.1

そして、こんなことをしました。 

$ brew uninstall postgresql
Uninstalling /usr/local/Cellar/postgresql/9.2.1...
$ brew uninstall postgresql
Uninstalling /usr/local/Cellar/postgresql/9.1.4...
$ psql --version
bash: /usr/local/bin/psql: No such file or directory
$ brew install postgresql

$ mkdir -p ~/Library/LaunchAgents

さて、homebrewを再インストールした後、私がMySQLを使用する際に $ psql と表示され、エラーメッセージが表示されません。

しかし、私は rake db:migrate をRailsアプリで実行すると、表示されます。

やっと解決策が見つかった。 

sudo mkdir /var/pgsql_socket/
sudo ln -s /private/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432 /var/pgsql_socket/

この解決策は少しトリッキーですが、うまくいきます。もっと良い解決策があればいいのですが

更新

これは私にも有効です。 

rm /usr/local/var/postgres/postmaster.pid

解決方法は？

同様の問題がありました。pidファイルがpostgresの起動をブロックしていたのです。それを解決するために 

$ rm /usr/local/var/postgres/postmaster.pid
$ brew services restart postgresql

で、万事解決です。

UPDATEです。

について アップルM1 (Big Sur)のユーザーは、代わりにこれを実行します。 

$ rm /opt/homebrew/var/postgres/postmaster.pid
$ brew services restart postgresql
